Catalan Domes
A rare functioning Catalan vault typology in predominantly natural materials, adapted to an Indian context.
Geometry, stresses and curvature resolved in Rhino, then decomposed into site-ready sequences. Coconut-leaf mats and MS rod grids replaced heavy shuttering; earthen pots became structural filler.
Computational logic externalised as 1:1 curvature layouts - letting masons with no prior vaulting experience execute the form. The domes reveal, rather than conceal, the method of making.
