A self-sufficient eco-tourism cottage on generational farmland - the farm framed as a lived experience, not a product.

The design is restrained and pragmatic, prioritising site logic, thermal comfort and material proximity over ornament. Cob walls combine with dry stone foundations and mud mortar, the bulk of the earth drawn directly from the site.

Yellow site soil lends a natural ochre tone to the arched wall, removing the need for pigment. Built-in seating, storage and niches are embedded into the envelope to reduce secondary material use.
